Bumble and bumble. University Model Project Bumble and bumble began in 1977 as a small Manhattan salon with a strong, educationally oriented culture and an ambitious vision to raise the standards of the salon industry. The launch of products in 1992 seeded the growth of the Bb. Salon Network that today includes nearly 3000 independently owned salons, the best in the country. Bumble and bumble Univeristy is the culmination of over 30 years in business. Key to our success is the belief that continuing education helps hairdressers be better at what they do; cutting, styling and coloring, of course, but also owning, managing, selling and teaching. Bb.U is dedicated to helping our Network Salons improve their businesses and their stylists' technical skills. Essential to the Bb.U student experience is working with Model Clients (not plastic dummy heads) and the opportunity to perfect techniques by customizing cuts, styles and color for individual features and hair textures. This unique collaboration, Bb.U Model Project, is devoted to suitability for each client and putting an end to a cookie-cutter approach to hairdressing. Bb.U Model Project provides free, Bb.-designed haircuts, styles and color in a professional, educational setting to anyone with appropriate hair for the classes we offer, and with the willingness to explore new looks. All students, providing services for Bb.U Model Project, are professionally licensed, with a minimum of two years experience, and work under the watchful eye of our most experienced stylists and educators. |
