Food, Nigh Free

As you may know, this is Restaurant Week in Our York City, which means that you can get three-course prix-fixe lunches and dinners at various fine dining establishments near where you spend your time. The amazing deal this time around are lunches that cost just $24.07 (about $50 less than you'd usually spend on lunch) and dinners at a mere $35.

Participating restaurants are a little spare in Brooklyn and the East Village, which are the two places I eat food, but maybe I'll consider branching out to other places, such as the West Village, which has 13 participating restaurants. The highlights of those, according to me, are Centro Vinoteca, August, Il Cantinori, and One If By Land Two If By Sea. I love seafood!

Also, if you have an American Express card, use it when you pay for your Restaurant Week Prix-Fixe meal, because American Express will donate $0.50 per transaction to City Harvest, a great organization that transports donated food around the city.
